ViewSonic Online Mail-In Rebate Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Exactly what do I need to submit?
A. In one envelope, include the following:
  1. A copy of the online claim confirmation page showing your Claim Tracking Number or a printed copy of the confirmation email.
  2. A copy of the receipt or packing slip that shows where and when you purchased the product.
  3. The original combination UPC/Serial Number panel from the ViewSonic packaging.


Q. Where do I find the combination UPC/Serial Number barcode?
A. On the outside of each ViewSonic product's packaging, you will find a panel that resembles this example. The panel will reference the UPC, the model number and the serial number. You will have to cut the panel off the packaging with scissors.



Q. What if I threw my box away and no longer have the original combination UPC/Serial Number barcode panel?
A. Submissions without the original combination UPC/Serial Number barcode will be rejected.


Q. What is the difference between the purchase dates and the mail-by/postmark dates?
A. Your purchase must take place during the promotion dates. You must mail your submission by the mail-by or postmark date.


Q. I have more than one rebate to submit, can I mail them in the same envelope?
A. No. All rebates must be mailed separately to the specific address and Dept# listed on each rebate form.


Q. I forgot to mail my submission and the last eligible postmark date has passed. What do I do now?
A. Submissions mailed after the last eligible postmark date will be rejected. Our promotions are special because they are carefully planned for specific timeframes and are not available all the time. Watch for future offers on other ViewSonic products, check the dates and submit promptly.


Q. The retailer did not have the ViewSonic product I wanted and they said the ViewSonic product they were substituting would qualify for the rebate. Is that true?
A. No. Each ViewSonic offer form lists all products that qualify. ViewSonic designs promotions for specific products and does not allow product substitutions regardless of information you learn from other sources, so please read the offer form carefully.


Q. I think I need my product packaging for warranty purposes. What happens if I cut the UPC/Serial Number panel off the box?
A. For your convenience, we recommend that you register your new product at www.viewsonic.com and we will keep track of your warranty for you. Keep in mind that registering your product is a different process than requesting your rebate, so you should keep photocopies of all rebate submission materials, including the UPC/serial number bar code.


Q. I mailed my submission. How do I check its status?
A. You have three options.
  1. Visit ViewSonic MIR online status and follow those instructions.
  2. Email us at rebates@viewsonic.com
  3. Call us toll free at 866-222-8991, weekdays, 8am to 6pm PT


Q. What if I don't have a street address? I only have a PO box.
A. Contact the USPS to confirm the street address that corresponds to your PO box and include it along with your PO box when you send your submission.


Q. In what countries are ViewSonic offers valid?
A. Unless otherwise indicated, purchases must take place in the US or Canada and the address to which you request we mail a check must be in the US or Canada.


Q. What will the check look like? I don't want to mistake it for something else.
A. Your rebate check will look like this example, so treat it with care.
